Far Fetched Botanicals: Plants that have inspired Fairy Tales
During the past year I have been concentrating on my latest project painting the plants that have inspired fairy tales. I have spent time dipping into all sorts of books researching the history of the tale and the history of the plant to discover how, when and where the plant came to take its place in the story.
It has been a fascinating journey and I am now delighted to announce that I will be exhibiting my paintings at the new Gallery @ Green and Stone. The iconic art shop was forced to move in October due to structural problems in their King's Road shop which had been their home for over 75 years. They have found a beautiful new home, barely a stone's throw away, on the Fulham Road.
Green and Stone not only has its usual supply of the finest art materials but now has a wonderful exhibition space which will also to be used for art workshops. As an experienced tutor of botanical art I am so pleased to be able to run a three day workshop during my exhibition. The course will be suitable for beginners as well as those who wish to develop their sense of colour. The course will include all materials including use of the Daniel Smith range of watercolour paints. Booking is essential. For further details of this course please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The exhibition will run from 1st - 7th April and the painting workshop will run from 3rd - 5th April.
